The annual meeting of the subscribers to the hospital, takes place to-morrow afternoon. There is over £200 credit balance. A memorial asking the Superintendent to enquire into the surgeon's conduct is being signed. The Coromandel News writes strongly against the public conduct of Hargraves, }. master of the Lalla Hooka. Great fun over the report of Hargraves prbsecu'ting jthe Star for lebel. The News corresponidents are prepared to substantiate everything said. No special mining news.: ■
