Enemy On Bougainville (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 26. Deaths from disease of the Japanese on Bougainville average 400 a month, due mainly to lack of drugs and poor medical services. The war correspondent of the “Sydney Sun” on Bougainvillt says during critical actions patients unable to walk out were left to die. In other cases only patients likely to recover'sufficiently to fight again were treated. The Japanese suffei'rd from malaria dysentery and tropical diseases, and at all times 25 per cent, of all Japanese on Bougainville were undergoing hospital treatment.
