Death Of Mr Robert Bisset The death occurred in Timaru yesterday of Mr Robert H. Bisset, a prominent grazier, of Canterbury and Southland. Born at Orari in 1873, Mr Bisset was associated with sheepfarming all his life, and when the Kakahu estate was cut up in 1908 he commenced farming on one of these subdivisions. Four years later he sold this property to take over the Dunrobin station in Southland. In 1905 he purchased Avondale station in Southland, and when this station was subdivided in 1915 he retained the homestead block until his retirement in 19’35, when he came to live in Timaru. Mr Bisset was prominent on the hunting -fields of Canterbury and Southland. He took a keen interest in racing and w-as a member of some of the foremost racing clubs. At "gricultural and pastoral shows he was a leading exhibitor of light horses, and had many valuable trophies to his credit. As a judge of light horses he was one of the best-known figures hi the show rings of both the North and the South Islands. Mr Bisset was unmarried. DON’T TAKE THAT COUGH HOME!
