WEATHER SOUTH CANTERBURY FORECAST

FAIR (Special) WELLINGTON. July 15. Winds —South-westerly winds, moderate inland, but strong at times on the coast. Weather—lsolated showers, especially near Banks Peninsula, but the weather mainly fine; temperatures remaining cold. Aug. 12 at 2.28 p.m. COLD CONDITIONS Although conditions were fine yesterday, the wind was cold, due to the presence of snow in the back-country brought down by a stoutherly storm in the early hours of the morning. Thirty points of rain fell overnight. The maximum temperature was 44 degrees and the minimum 28. The glass was rising slowly.
