Close Understanding b (Rec. 9.20 p.m.) VICHY, June 12. Marshal Petain, in a speech at a luncheon to regional heads of the French Legion which M. Laval gave to quieten the fears of members of the Legion regarding his collaborationists i and police, declared: “Never was our policy more united. M. Laval and I have shaken hands and w r e walk hand in hand. M. Laval’s policy is mine. He speaks in agreement with me, and I speak in agreement with him.”
