WELL MOBILISED

Britain Ready For Sacrifices

LONDON, Sept. 6. A special investigator of “The Times" who toured Britain came to the conclusion that many heavy workers are getting less nourishing food than they need, while some people doing little are getting far too much. In the main, however, the country’ Is thoroughly mobilised for the hard fight ahead.

The investigator discovered that there are bad patches where production is less than it could be. and shotild be, and that inadequate use is being made of woman power. A fairer distribution of the scarcer foqds is urgently necessary everywhere. There is warm admiration for the magnificent fight the Russians are putting up, and equally widespread is the hope that aid to Russia will be generous and prompt.
