CANADA’S CONDUCT OF WAR
Value Of Leader’s Visit
NEW YORK, Sept. 7. The Ottawa correspondent of the “New York Times” says Mr Mackenzie King’s visit to London has had repercussions that are likely to provoke a new liveliness in Canada’s conduct of the war. He himself obviously has been stirred up by contact with the leaders and people of Britain. When he returns he seems likely to find that the London visit and the speeches he made have served to galvanise his own countrymen. People are saying here “we have not begun to fight and it is time we did.”
