ARMY TANK SCHOOL
Officers Arrive From Middle East
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 8. A number of officers and men arrived from the Middle East to act as instructors at the Army Tar - B—c 1.
They are all experienced officers a:;:! non-comffiissioned officers from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and ail served in tank brigades in aett ,i In the Western Desert and Greece. It was announced recently that Lieutenant-Colonel H. B. M. Gtovxs, of th: Royal Armoured Corps, who has arrived at Auckland, would command the new armoured fighting vehicle school at Waiouru. Lieutenant-Colonel GroVes has spent the last four years in the Middle East and he fought ’n the Libyan campaign. The Mirister of Defence (Hon. F. Jones) in a recent state lent, announced that the ne-z school is a corollary to the formation of an Army Tank Brigade which is to be rait i and trained in the Dbminibn.
