PLEASANT VALLEY

RED CROSS SOCIETY The monthly meeting of the Pleasant Valley-Te Moana-Four Peaks Subbranch of the Red Cross was held in the Pleasant Valley Hall. Mrs E. S. Elworthy presiding. Mrs Elworthy congratulated the members on their splendid effort for the shop day in Geraldine. The response had been very good. Marmalade for soldiers in hospitals in New Zealand was wanted and gifts from anyone in the district would be greatly appreciated. Knitted garments were handed in and more wool was distributed also pyjama cloth to be made up.
