HOURS OF MILK ROUNDSMEN <P.A.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 8. Milk roundsmen did not attend at lhe inquiry into the question of their starting time held before Mr J. A. . ilmour, S.M. The Auckland Metro-
politan Milk Council was represented and both large and small vendors also were represented. The Act under which the roundsmen are engaged provides for a starting time of 3 am. except where a’special order
is made by the Minister of Labour for a different hour. The Minister has no authority to delegate this power omaking an order, and the Magistrate.*findings will be forwarded to Wellington. A variation of award provisions is 3sible only by agreement.
