SYDNEY SHEEP SHOW
Less Attractive Than Usual (Rec. 12.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 19. The annual sheep show opened in Sydney to-day and was less attractive than usual owing to wartime conditions. Only a few of the major Merino studs were represented, but Corriedales, of which there were upwards of 100 exhibits, were better than ever, revealing particularly well-grown carcases and extra heavy fleeces. Competition among the Border Leicester was formidable, although many sheep lacked the condition of former years. The Southdowns were of outstanding quality.
