PERSONAL ,M, u. Minnis, Orari, is spending a holiday in the North Island. Mr T. Playford. Opawa, has acquired the Tara Bank estate and will shortly take up residence in Orari. Mr and Mrs J. Ambler and family have left to reside at Te Moana. SUCCESSFUL DANCE There was a large attendance at the Orari Hall when the local branch of the Red Cross held a dance in aid of the Geraldine Ambulance Fund. Music was supplied by an orchestra while Mr Davidson played an extra. Mr A. Earl was M.C. MINIATURE RIFLES At the weekly shoot of the Orari Men’s Miniature Rifle Club the trophy and gold button were won by R. E: Mcllwrick, while B. Killoh won the silver button. The scores were: R. E. Mcllwrick 79, B. Killoh 79, C. Patrick 79, R, G. Rogers 78, J. A. Hepdersbn 78, S. Henderson 79, M. Brenton 76, E. R. O'Neill 76. N. Hobbs 75, M. Vernail 74, Ben Baker 74, B. Hewson 69, A. England 69, H. Bennett 63, R. Brenton 63. Mrs L. Hendefrson won the gold button and trophy while Mrs J. A. Henderson won the silver button. The scores were: Mrs L. Henderson 76, Mrs J. A.
