BRITISH PROTEST

Partition Of Yugoslavia LONDON, June 17. Tire British Government has replied to a series of notes from the Yugoslav Government protesting against the Axis partition of Yugoslav by the formation of the new state of Croatia and the annexation by Italy of Slovenia. The British Government has agreed that the formation of Croatia nd the annexation of Slovakia must be considered null and void. The formation of Croatia as a hereditary monarchy is, states the British reply, merely a disguised annexation by Italy while the annexation of Slovenia constitutes a violation of the principles of ethnology. The British Government will continue to support the right of King Peter II and refuse to recognise the dismemberment of Yugoslavia.
