Nationalist Candidate

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 17. At a meeting of delegates from local committees of the National Party in the Otahuhu electorate, a ballot for the selection of a candidate to contest the seat at the general election resulted in favour of Mr H. P. Congdon, of Auckland. Mr Congdon stood for the Auckland Central seat in 1931 on behalf of the Coalition Party against the sitting Labour Member, the Hon. W. E. Parry, and was unsuccessful.
