GOODS REACHING BRITAIN
Statement By U.S. Senator WASHINGTON, May 20. Declaring that the lease and lend equipment seemed to be reaching Britain satisfactorily. Senator A. W. Barkley added that it was unlikely that the United States Government would take new affirmative steps to see that the goods were delivered, but, of course, the situation could change completely in a matter of days. Indications now were that the goods were getting across and the conditions were not acute.
