Dominion Fertiliser Ltd. recommends a dividend of 4» per cent for the year ended March 31. TEMUKA SALE IMPROVED DEMAND FOR FAT SHEEP The fortnightly stock sale was held yesterday at the Temuka yards, when fair entries came forward for most sections. About 100 head of fat cattle were offered to butchers. The sale was a dragging one, owing to the quality being not up to the usual standard. About two races of fat sheep showed an improvement on the rates ruling last week. A number of draught horses were forwarded, and although there were one or two buyers on the look out for good young sorts already broken in, the horses which had not been handled met witji a very sluggish sale, but a number were disposed of as vendors were keen to quit. The range of values was:— Fat Cattle—Steers, best £ll to £l2/17/6, medium £9 to £lO/12/6, light £8 to £B/17/6. Cows, best £7 to £B/2/6, medium £6 to £6/17/6, light £4 to £5/7/6. Heifers, best £8 to £9/7/6, medium £6/17/6 to £7/17/6, light £5 to £6/7/6. Dairy Cattle—Cows on drop £7 to £lO. Fat Sheep—Wethers, best 22/- to 24/10, others 19/- to 21/7. Ewes, best 14/- to 17/-, medium 12/- to 13/7, light 8/- to 11/-. Lambs, best 23/- to 26/10, medium £1 to 22/10, light 18/- to 19/10. Horses—Bay mare, 4yrs, all work £l5: bay mare, 8 yr?, all work, £10; geldinas rising 4yrs, unbroken, £3 to £6; fillies rising 2 and 3vrs. £3/10 to £7/15/-; gelding rising svrs to £B/5/-.
