ORDERED TO RETURN TO WORK
Trouble With U.S. Miners (Rec. 10.20 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 20. Mr John Lewis (chairman of the United Mine Workers of America', ordered the herd coal miners to return to work pending the signing of a tentative agreement providing for an immediate wage increase. A message from Lorain (Ohio) states that approximately 1000 workmen struck to-day closing the American shinbuilding company’s plant handling 10.000.000 dollars worth of defence contracts.
