GREEK ISLANDERS STARVING
Germans Pillage Food LONDON, May 19. Reports from Chico, a Greek island in the Aegean Sea, depict an unbearable situation, says the Istanbul correspondent of “The Times.” The islanders are starving because the Germans have requisitioned all livestock and bread is not procurable. The Invaders have also requisitioned beds and bed linen and blankets. The doors of houses must be left open at night In spite of the German warning that the Islanders must not leave under pain of death many are secretly reaching Turkey.
