GERALDINE LOCAL ELECTIONS
Official Count Of Votes No Changes Made No change was made when the official count of votes cast in the local body elections was made yesterday. Competition was close between Messrs A. J. Davey and C. Comer for a position on the Temuka Riding of the County Council, only four votes separating them. For a seat on the South Canterbury Electric Power Board Messrs C. C. Knight (Geraldine) and J. T. Smart (Temuka) ran close, but a majority of 10 votes gave Mr Knight the seat. Following are the details after the official count:— County Council:— Temuka Riding A.
