EIGHT RECORDS PASSED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 6. Eight new women's and junior records were allowed at the monthly meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-night. They were:— Vi. H. Nelson (Otago) one mile junior, 4min 30secs; two miles junior, 9min 54 4-ssec; three miles junior, 15min 19 3-ssec; T. R. Harris (West Coast) 880 yards junior, 1 min 58 4-ssec; R. J. Morgan (Otago) junior discus throw, 130 ft 10iins; D. H. Carew (Auckland) 220 yards junior, 23secs; Miss D. Mullins (Auckland) women’s discus throw, 99ft 71ns. An application by C. R. Bailey (Auckland) for recognition of his broad jump of 21ft 3iins as a junior record was re' rred back for particulars of other competitors in the event. Mr D. T. Woodfield (Otago delegate) gave notice of motion to rescind the disallowance of G. L. Austin’s application a 15 mile record.
