TRADE WITH GREECE

EMBARGO IMPOSED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 7. The Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) to-day drew the attention of traders and the business community generally to thef fact that the existing legislation designed to prevent trading relationships with the enemy was now applicable to the mainland of Greece, since that country was now under enemy occupation. This means that no trading whatever can be carried on with that territory, and under a regulation gazetted, returns should be made to the custodian of enemy property of all moneys which, but for enemy occupation of Greece would be payable to persons or concerns in that country, and to any property held or managed in New Zealand for, or on behalf Of such persons or concerns.
