REPAIRING BOMB DAMAGE

Royal Engineers To Help United Press Association—By Eli*ctrlc Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 19, 8.27 p.m.) LONDON, November 18 London soon will have 16,000 Royal Engineers and pioneers clearing and repairing bomb damage. Major-General G. B. O. Taylor, who is in charge of these forces, said: “The gas, water and electricity people at first mistrusted us. We said ‘give us the crater and let us get on with it.’ The authorities now have found how useful we are and as a result our tasks are increasing in number. The work moreover will be invaluable training for the men for another expeditionary force overseas.”
