Naval Officer for Martinique
The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State (Mr Sumner Welles) announced that a United States naval officer would be attached to the United States Consulate at Martinique. The action is believed to have been suggested by Admiral Greenslade, who returned from an inspection trip, including Martinique.
