BASKETBALL
SUB-ASSOCIATION MEETING Miss I. Wallace presided at a meeting of the Waimate Basketball SubAssociation on Wednesday evening Also present were: Misses J. Segar, N. Wilson and V. O’Malley (secretary). Apologies were received from Misses Knowles and B. O'Malley. Permission was granted the Waimate High School to travel to Timaru for inter-school matches. The Upper Waitaki Sub-As-sociation wrote accepting July 29 for the annual representative fixture with the Waimate teams, to be played at Waimate. The following players will represent Waimate against North Otago tomorrow, at Victoria Park, at 2 p.m.: First Grade: V. Travers (High School), G. Brittenden (Waimate), D. Scott (High School), D. Tamblyn (High School), B. Dale (High School), V. O'Malley (St. Patrick's) captain, S. Sullivan (High School), J. Brown (Waimate), N. Brien (High School). Emergencies: N. Jack (Waimate), R. Bird (Waimate), A. Rive (High School). Second Grade: R. Tumaru (Waihao) captain, J. Caird (Makikihi), A. Scorringe (Waihao), M. Heath (Waihao), G. Sanson (High School), M. Benson (Waihao), E. McCone (High School), N. Heath (Waihao), T. Crowe (St. Patrick’s). Emergencies: M. Sullivan (Makikihi), M. Menzies (High School), N. Bell (Makikihi).
