EXPEDITING MANUFACTURE OF UNIFORMS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received June 2, 12.16 a.m.) LONDON, June 1. Bradford has officially stated that the Government intend to buy 3,000,0001 b of tops of 50 quality from the British Empire to expedite the manufacture of uniforms. The value of the deal is nearly £250,000. The transaction is substantial but not sensational, calling chiefly for Melbourne and New Zealand crossbreds. The price will be in line with the current season’s modest values.
