YOUTH GUILTY OF THEFT By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 31. On a charge of the theft of sums of money amounting in all to £77/4'B from Preston and Thompson, LtdRaymond Julian Jorjensen, a clerk, aged 20, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was granted on condition that he report to the detectives daily. Accused's explanation, in a statement to the detectives, was that on leaving the firm he retained the key to the premises. According to the evidence the money was carefully checked into the strong-room and found to be missing on various dates when the strong-room was again opened.
