Christchurch: After rain in the early hours of the morning the day was fine. The sky was overcast in the morning but cleared in the afternoon. There was a light easterly breeze all day. The maximum temperature was 51.4 degrees. The barometer fell slowly to 30.27 inches. Dunedin: Yesterday was fine but cool, with bright sunshine. The maximum temperature was 54 degrees. The barometer was steady at 30.30 inches.
