TO-DAY’S RECIPE
* PINEAPPLE PUDDING * Two ounces stale bread cut into tiny cubes. Beat 2 egg yolks with 1 tablespoon sugar ❖ X and pour on 1 pint of hot milk. Add pinch of salt and a u-w * £ drops of vanilla essence. Put X * the bread in a buttered piedish, X and pour egg and milk over it. X ••• Leave to stand about hall an hour then bake in a, moderate ••• oven till set. Carefully spread X over Ihe lop a lin of crushed X * pineapple. Whisk the whites X of the eggs to a stiff fro’.h villi >;• £ 2 dessertspoons of sugar. Pile X X on lop of pineapple ind pul back X X in oven to brown slightly. X
