Trainloads of Czech barbed wire, l.tavy artillery and cement are being rushed to Stettin, Kustrin and Prouse, Germany’s new Siegfried line on the Polish border. Poland is most concerned, as her main war industries and oilflfields are only fifty miles from the southern heel of the line. The Prague correspondent of “The Daily Telegraph” says; “Her.* Kundt, (Nazi Minister in Czecho-Slovakia) after three days’ visit to Berlin, demands exclusive rights for Germans in Czechoslovakia, beyond the present minority rights. The specific demands are Herr Kundt’s appointment as German Minister within the Czech Cabinet, to enable the supervision of these rights, permission to found a Nazi party (membership in which is open to Czechs), and the reinstatement of the former German officials in Government posts. “ NOT YET OUT OF DANGER ”

CZECH POLICY OUTLINED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright PRAGUE, February 22 The Foreign Minister (M. Chvalkovsky), in a speech to the National Unity Party, said that Czechoslovakia must not provoke Providence and allow Munich to be a prelude to a new catastrophe. Many difficulties as the result of the Munich settlement must still be overcome. They must aim at the preservation of frontiers and national independence and propaganda aimed at ■ creating illusions about the revival of former conditions must cease as good relations with Germany were a necessity of the utmost consequence. Germans in Czechoslovakia do not enjoy special privileges, but the same right as the Czechs. If Germans desired to profess Nazism they must not be prevented from doing so. He added that Czechoslovakia could not survive another crisis and was not yet out of danger. Thirty-four Germans have been arrested on charges of disloyalty against Poland. Twelve of them are girls and there are also two youths. The new Prime Minister of Hungary (Count Teleki) told Parliament that the new Government did not intend to change internal or foreign policies. Allegiance to the Rome-Berlin Axis would be maintained and Poland’s friendship cultivated. The previous Government’s antiJewlsh proposals would be carried out as they were dictated by necessity to preserve the nation’s ethnical integrity and were not the result of external pressure.
