WORLD TITLE RACE

EIGHTEEN-FOOTER YACHTS FOR AUCKLAND TAREE MAY BE SENT TO DOMINION United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 9, 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 9. The world championship for eighteen-footers will definitely be held at Auckland next February. Mr W. Scahill, owner of the present champion, Taree, announced that he had already sent the trophy to Auckland, and that the trophy would be sailed for even if Taree was unable to make the trip in defence of her title. Mr Scahill added that there were some doubts regarding Taree's participation, but he hoped that the skipper, B. Swinburne, and the crew would find their way clear to go to New Zealand.
