Fat Cattle Erratic Sheep Firm at Late Rates By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN. November 9 An entry of 247 fat cattle at the ; Burnside stock sale to-day included a , larger proportion than usual of wellfinished prime heavy bullocks. the whole of the yarding being of good quality. Values from the start were on a par with late rates, but the sale was erratic and at the end prices were a little higher. Cows and heifers, which were in short supply, attracted increased values.

Butchers paid £2/17 6 per 1001 b for extra prime ox beef, £2 15 - for prime. £2/15 - for best cow and heifer beef, and £l/15/- for poorer quality. There was a keen demand for store cattle, which appreciated in value. Fat Sheep The yarding of fat sheep numbered | 1652, the quality comparing unfavour- j ably with that seen at the previous sale.
