REPORT PRESENTED
MEETING OF SCHOOL COMMITTEES The delegates to the annual conference of the Dominion Federation of School Committees’ Associations, Messrs J. W. Preen and G. A. McGregor, gave a report on the proceedings at Christchurch to a meeting of the South Canterbury Primary School Committees’ Association at a meeting last night. Present. —Messrs F. H. Ward (chairman) , Mesdames J. Thomson, G. Griffiths, Messrs C. Manning, C. E. Knight, G. A. Furby, G. Griffiths (Main), G. Benstead, H. W. Lomas, R. Runciman, A. R. Graham (Waimataltai), N. Orr, G. A. Gregor, A. B. Stoddart (West), Mrs S. A. Odell, Messrs A. H. Wyatt, R. E. Peagram (South), and W. Divan (life members). Mr Preen discussed many points of interest which were raised at the conference and Said that generally a good deal of useful work was done. He paid a tribute to the sympathetic interest shown in the work of school committees by the Minister of Education (Hon. P. Fraser). The thanks of the Association were extended to the delegates for their report.
