PROBATION FOR NATIVE AGENT By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, November 1. George Graham, aged 63 years, a native agent and authority on the Maori language and customs, who was found guilty last week on a charge of having forged the name of a Maori to a Post Office payment voucher for a remittance from a Maori Land Board, was admitted to probation for three years by Mr Justice Fair in the Supreme Court to-day. This case, said his Honour, was one In which he could give full effect to the jury’s recommendation to mercy.
