BOXING
TO-MORROW NIGHT'S CONCERT Great interest is being evinced In the middleweight title contest to be held to-morrow evening between Cliff Hanham (holder) and Stan Jenkin (challenger). Both contestants have completed their training, and report themselves as fit and well. The chances of success for either boxer have been freely discussed, and public opinion seems to be equally divided. Tire spelndid fight the pair put up at Dunedin in their first meeting, indicates that tomorrow night’s contest will be closely fought. Both contestants have expressed their willingness to meet George Foster, the Canadian champion, but the location for the bout will not be known in all probability until Wednesday. The South Canterbury Association will definitely edeavour to have the contest fought in Timaru. The following house officials have been appointed and are asked to be in attendance at 7 p.m. sharp.—Messrs B. Halpin, J. Elder, L. Kilgour, W. Gow, A. Souter, L. Hopklnson, W. A. Davie, I. McGregor, H. Heads and J. Toneycliffe.
