THEFT CHARGE

ACCUSED FOR TRIAL By Telegraph—press association ASHBURTON, March 31. Herbert James Ross, alias Leo Sylvester Harman, was committed for trial on a charge of breaking and entering Enrico Pasquali’s shop and stealing liquor valued at £ll/13/-. Pasquali is the agent for a hotel in Christchurch. The police evidence was to the effect that accused entered by the next door shop, by wrenching a padlock off the door. He pulled away the rack which blocked the door between the two premises. Accused pleaded not guilty. Bail was self in £2OO and two securities for £lOO each.
