Cambridge Still Later Latest advice from the Federal vessel Cambridge states that she will now reach Timaru from Port Chalmers tomorrow to commence loading for London and West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. She will remain in port over the week-end and will sail about Monday for Wanganui. Melbourne Maru Later The Federal Company has received advice that the O.S.K. Line motor ship Melbourne Maru, en route from Japan, was to leave Noumea on Tuesday for Auckland, where she is now due to-day. She will later dlscharve and load at Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Hobart Loading Tire Union Steam Ship Company advises that the Karetu will load at Hobart about the end of April for Bluff, Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton. Australian Coastal Record Covering the distance between Newcastle and Melbourne with a full cargo of 6000 tons of coal, the Howard Smith collier Age is believed to have created a record of 514 hours from wharf to wharf. It covered the distance of 637 miles at an average speed of over 12.35 knots. The Age, which is one of the most modern colliers on the coast, visits Melbourne once every week, and discharges her entire cargo by means of mechanical grabs and conveyor belt in about 21 hours. Well-known Tramps Renamed The two well-known Harrison line tramp ship? Harpalyce and Harpagus, which were built together at Redhead’s yard, South Shields, in 1930, have been sold to European buyers and renamed. The Harpalyce (4691 tons) has been renamed Lobbersum by her new owners in Amsterdam, and the Harpagus (4689 tons) is now registered at Hamburg and flying the German flag. She has been named Sizilien.
