To-day’s results in the junior tennis championships were as follows: Girls singles under 21, final—Miss M. Beverley defeated Miss J. Douthett both of New Zealand 6-2, 6-3. This was an excellent match in which Miss Beverley played very well. Girls doubles under 21, semi-final— Misses Beverley and Douthett (New Zealand) defeated Misses K. Armstrong and K. Wilson (New Zealand), 8-6, 7-5. This match was splendidly contested right through, the volleying and ground strokes being excellent. Girls doubles under 19—Miss Armstrong and R. Wilson (New Zealand), (New South Wales) defeated Miss Irwin and Miss Kelson (New South Wales), 6-1, 8-6. The Winning pair now enter the final. Girls doubles under 17—Miss M. Hodges (New Zealand) and Miss Irwin (New South Wales) defeated Miss Nowland and Miss Tansey (New South Wales), 6-3.
