The Darwin correspondent of “The Sun’’ says: "All the colourful romance of the gold rush days is reflected in the hectic hunt for the reputedly rich pearling beds, somewhere off the coast of Arnheim Land, which has been a jealously guarded secret of the Japanese pearlers. But the frailty of human nature led to the secret leaking out. A member of the crew of a Japanese pearling craft, in the course of a celebration, gave vent to suppressed jubillatlon during a recent visit to Darwin, and Australian boats are now planning a systematic combing of the fields.
