INFANTILE PARALYSIS
PATIENTS RESPONDING TO \ TREATMENT By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 18 A good record of progress in response to treatment of the 40 infantile paralysis eases at present in the Wellington public hospital was reported to-day by Dr. A. R. Thorne, medical superintendent. He said the building committee at its meeting tomorrow, would consider the erection of a temporary swimming pool to give the patients underwater exercises, and that the Crippled Children’s Society was prepared to assist in this direction as well as In the purchase of equipment. This pool would serve until another was built in accordance with the provisions of the new building scheme. A positive case of infantile paralysis, a girl of five, was admitted to the Wellington Hospital yesterday from Ngalo. A SUSPECTED CASE By Telegraph—Press Association Hastings, May is A suspected case of Infantile paralysis has been admitted to the Napier Hospital from Hastings. The case is a boy aged BJ, a pupil of the Mahora School.
