WEDDING

BOWRON—PATTERSON A pretty wedding took place at St. Luke’s Church, Mosgiel, yesterday, when Margaret Serpless, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. S. Patterson, of Mosgiel, was married to Harry Johnston, son of Mrs G. W. Bowron and the late Mr Bowron of Dunedin. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ewart.

Entering the church on the arm of her father, the bride wore a charming cream ensemble. The frock was of velvet, and was cut on smart lines. A dainty tulle veil was worn, while a beautiful bouquet completed a delightful toilette. The bride was attended by Miss Thelma Bremner as bridesmaid, also frocked in velvet, but of a rust shade. The little flowergirl, Margaret Nind, niece of the bride, wore a dainty little frock of cream velvet. Mr R. Johnston (Christchurch) was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Strand Salon, Dunedin, where Mrs Patterson received the guests in an attractive navy blue lace frock. She was assisted by the groom’s mother in a pleasing brown ensemble. When the happy couple left on their wedding trip, the bride wore a smart brown frock with a halo hat, and carried a brown lapin fur swagger coat. Their future home will be in Waimate.
