Mr Sproule said he believed McGrath would recuperate quicker at the lower altitude. McGrath will be examined at San Antonio, and may remain there, or possibly fly to Ne v York for treatment. Mr Sproule added that It Is uncertain whether McGrath will be able to play at Forest Hills. It appeared that Bromwich might be called into action. Exhibition Matches. At San Antonio in exhibition matches on clay courts, Bromwich (Australia) defeated Van Ryn (United States) 6-0, 6-2. Quist (Australia) defeated Allison (United States) 11-9. Van Ryn and Allison (United States) defeated Crawford and Quist (Australia) 6-1, 7-5.
