POST OFFICE BURGLED

SAFE REMOVED AND BLOWN By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, May 5. Burglars entered the Post Office at Silverdale, 20 miles north of Auckland last night and removed a large safe. Tipping it end for end into a paddock 200 yards away thejj blew it open with explosives and extracted a sum of money. Detectives found a window broken at the rear of the premises. They had no difficulty in following the trail of the safe to the paddock, where they recovered the postal notes and stamps. Money only was missing.
