PERSONAL Mr and Mrs G. E. Blissett, Winchester. are spending a few weeks’ holiday in the North Island. LABOUR PARTY At the annual meeting of the Winchester branch of the New Zealand Labour Party. Mr D. Scannell presided. Among those present were Messrs M. F. Kennedy ipresident). J. Paton Boyd (vice-president), J. H. Forrester (secretary) and D. O’Connor, of the Temuka branch. The balance-sheet revealed a credit Of £l4. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr D. Scannell; vice-presi-dent, Mr J. Wilks; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. G. Kimber; committee, Messrs J. Dennehy, W. B. T. Wright, E. Uden, W. J. Jackson, S. McCaughan, N. G. South. J. McComb. Delegates to the Labour representative committee, chairman and secretary. Mr M. F. Kennedy was appointed delegate to attend the annual conference at Wellington and voted £2 towards his expenses. Mr Boyd was thanked for his offer to come once a fortnight to start a social study class. On the motion of Mr Wright and the president, a vote of thanks was passed to the Temuka members for attending.
