The Imperial Airways liner Jupiter crashed near Memmingen (Germany) and caught fire. The only passenger and all the crew are dead. The Jupiter was engaged in the night service from Croydon to Cologne. The machine left Croydon at 9.30 p.m. yesterday and the last wireless message from it was received at 11.18 p.m., when it reported that it was flying over Belgium.
