LABOUR PARTY ANI COMMUNISM

To the Editor ot “ The Tlmaru Herald ” Sir, —In your report of the annual meeting of the Geraldine branch of the Labour Party, I was amused to read where the delegate to the annual conference was instructed to “vote against any Communistic remits.” What is Communism? Is it different from Socialism? Obviously some members of the Labour Party h?ve no time for Communism and when a branch with a membership of over 350 members instructs its delegate to vote against Communism they must have a reason. I do not think I am asking too much if I ask either their president or any member to explain just what Communism really is.—l am, etc., PROLETARIAN.
