RECEPTION
Although the weather was very unkind in its welcome to the delegates to the Municipal Conference which commenced in the Bay Hall last night, the friendly atmosphere and congenial company at the reception given in the Bay tea rooms by the Mayoress, Mrs P. C. Vinnell, more than made up for it. The evening was in honour of the wives and friends of the visitors who spent a very enjoyable time together. The guests were received by the Mayoress, who wore a frock of dark leaf green moracain, with posy of red flowers. During the evening several enjoyable musical items were given by Mrs F. A. Raymond and recitations by Mrs C. T. Ballantyne. Later the guests adjourned to the Bay Hall were supper was served. Those present included Mrs T. Jordan, wife of the president of the Municipal Association, Mrs W. E. Parry (Auckland), Mrs Buzan (Temuka), Mrs M. Richards, Mrs C. T. Smith (Blenheim), Mrs T. F. Bull (Blenheim), Mrs W. G.
