EXECUTIVE MEETS

WEST END ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of the executive of the West End Association was held on Saturday evening. Mr H. Mayo (president) occupied the chair. An application from the Rovers’ Club for a reduction of rent was considered. It was decided that the usual conditions be adhered to, but that a rebate be allowed at the end of the term. The Miniature Rifle Club was granted the use of the hall on the same conditions as last year. Suggestions for Improvements to streets and footpaths were sent on to the Council for consideration when the estimates are being framed. It was agreed that the Council be notified that the track promised from Onslow Street to the pavilion had not been made; also to call attention to a cracked retaining wall in Ranfurly Street which might prove dangerous. Miss Logan’s application tor the use of part of the pavilion was granted on the same conditions as last year.
