WOOL FOR JAPAN
PURCHASES AUTHORISED IN NEW ZEALAND United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received March 8, 11.15 p.m.) TOKIO, March 8. Baron Asahi, surveying the wool situation here, says the Government was permitted to purchase 889,000 bales during the current season ending in June including 100,000 non-Austra-lian purchases. The non-Australian purchases, especially New Zealand, are proceeding briskly.
