REDUCTION IN NET PROFIT By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, September 24. Provision of more than £4OOO extra for income tax is the main reason for a reduction in the profit of Beath and Co.. Ltd., drapers, to £7098 from £9681 last year. The ordinary dividend is reduced to 5 per cent, from 8 per cent. The directors report that 56 per cent, of the net profit was required for land and income tax, for which £8728 is allowed in the accounts. The gross profit was £88,210 against £88,174 last year.
