GERALDINE

ASHBURTON DRAMA COMPETITIONS LOCAL PLAYERS’ SUCCESS The Geraldine Players won the A Grade section of the Ashburton Drama Competitions for the third year in succession with their presentation of “The Silver Bullet” by Helen De Zglinitzki on Tuesday evening. The judge, Mr R. T. Bush, of Greymouth, awarded the Geraldine Players 90 points, and they defeated the Hampstead Players, the other competitors in the A Grade section. Recently the Geraldine Players were awarded first place by Mrs Bernard Beeby, of Christchurch, at the Inaugural Geraldine District Drama Group Festival, when “The Silver Bullet” was the winning play.
